If you plan to vote in person on Election Day for the Presidential Primary on Tuesday, February 27 (or if you are working at the polls), please sign up to volunteer for this project. It’s easy to do and will only take a few minutes. You’ll be helping the Associated Press provide faster and more accurate results on Election Night.
Join LWV Detroit on Saturday, January 20, 2024, at 10am for its monthly hybrid membership meeting. This month, our guest speakers will be Detroit City Clerk Janice Winfrey and Chief Operating Officer Daniel Baxter, who will discuss new voting rights.
Sunshine Week 2024 is March 10-16 and takes place to coincide with the National Freedom of Information Day (March 16). Michigan’s Sunshine Laws refer to a set of regulations designed to promote transparency and openness in government.
