LWV ChapterSpot Membership Portal

The League of Women Voters has launched the ChapterSpot Membership Portal. The first year using ChapterSpot will be February 2025 through January 2026. New and existing members will join or renew using the ChapterSpot portal. When you Join/Renew, your renewal date is determined by the day you became a member. Please look for your renewal email from LWV.

Becoming a Member

When you join, you are a Member of The League of Women Voters. As a League Member, you are extended opportunities at the local, state, and national levels. When you participate in a committee, you are helping to protect our freedom to vote. During general membership meetings, a speaker often will address issues important to League members, and committees present their work to the local League body. Detroit League Committees

Voter Services, VOTE411, and Candidates Forums: You commit to help promote voter education and increase voter registration.
Advocacy: You commit to help address policies that support voting rights, democracy, election and campaign reforms, and other civic goals.
League / Library On-Line Forum: You commit to network and support online programs hosted at the Knapp Branch Public Library to empower us to keep power in the hands of people.
Observer Corps: You commit to covering public meetings and reporting on civic practices, ensuring transparent and open public decision-making.
Membership: You commit to help spread the word to people interested in supporting the League’s work.
Fundraising: You commit to supporting the Detroit League through fundraising efforts, including Local Tenant Elections, merch offerings, and special events.
