Thursday, November 23, 2023, is Thanksgiving, when we join our family and friends to reflect on all we are thankful for. This includes the Detroit League, which is thankful for a great year and wonderful members and supporters. You have made this a fantastic year for LWV Detroit and for our democracy.
The United Nations General Assembly initiated the International Day of Tolerance on November 16, 1995, to promote tolerance as a societal pillar in educational institutions and among the general public. Today International Day of Tolerance is an annual observance to generate public awareness of the dangers of intolerance.
