Detroit Public Library and the League of Women Voters of Detroit offer free virtual forums open to the public.
On April 11, 2023, at 6 pm, the DPL/LWVD collaborative series will host Peter J. Hammer, Director of the Damon J. Keith Center for Civil Rights, who will examine some of the current and recent changes to voting rights and democracy, with a particular focus on Michigan.
Dr. Hammer co-authors with Edward J. Littlejohn of “No Equal Justice”: The Legacy of Civil Rights Icon George W. Crockett Jr.
Please register in advance for this event. We will send the Zoom link to registrants before the program.
After the event, we will post a program recording on the lwvdetroit.org Recordings/Events webpage.
This event is sponsored by the League of Women Voters Detroit and the Detroit Public Library, which partner in talks promoting voter education and tools for action.
