Be an Informed Voter. Be a Confident Voter.
The League of Women Voters of Michigan prepares a Voter Guide for every election in Michigan. The LWVMI 2022 Non-Partisan Voter Guide is published online at VOTE411.org and in hardcopy, the latter distributed four weeks before an election.
To produce the Voter Guide, LWVMI contacted candidates running for state office, asking them to submit biographical information and to answer questions on issues directly related to the office and their candidacy. LWVMI printed the candidate’s answers as presented; LWVMI did not edit the answers, except for necessary cutting when replies exceeded the stated character limitations or violated content guidelines. LWVMI did not correct spelling and grammar. If the candidate did not reply by the required date for publication, the words “No response by print deadline” appear under the candidate’s name. The content for the General Election (November 8, 2022) is current as of September 17, 2022.
Publication of candidate statements and opinions is solely in the interest of public service and in no way should be construed as an endorsement by the League. LWVMI takes no responsibility for any of the views or facts stated by the candidates.
LWV is a nonpartisan organization established in 1920 to encourage citizen participation in government. It neither supports nor opposes any political party or candidate.
